Committees
Zoning
Co-Chairs
The Zoning Committee reviews and recommends for action to the Board all neighborhood zoning matters which come to its attention. It identifies various new projects/developments in the LSNA boundaries and gathers information from the developers about their projects and ask them to make presentations about their plans, first to the near neighbors of these proposed projects and ultimately to the LSNA Board. Generally, projects that require zoning variances are looking for letters of non-opposition from LSNA. Based on this, the Zoning Committee negotiates neighborhood construction and development agreements for each of these projects, most of which are recorded. The committees for these projects vary from project to project and are composed largely of the near neighbors most directly affected by each project. In that sense, there is a separate committee for each project. The one constant is the Zoning Chair who sits on all committees for all projects.
